Blacksmith
blacksmith.sh/
Blacksmith sells faster, cheaper GitHub Actions runners as a drop-in replacement for GitHub's own — the setup change is a single line, swapping runs-on: ubuntu-latest for their runner label. The hero stacks concrete multipliers: 2x faster hardware (bare-metal gaming CPUs), 4x faster cache downloads, 40x faster Docker builds via persistent NVMe layer caching, at 60% less cost than GitHub-hosted runners. It backs this with scale figures (3,000+ organizations, 50M+ monthly jobs) and a customer logo row including Vercel, Supabase, and Clerk, plus a direct three-way comparison table pitting itself against GitHub-hosted and self-hosted runners.

The 9033px page runs from a full-width pixel-font "BLACKSMITH" wordmark and hero through three speed claims, a video tile, a "Console" block, a stats ticker, customer story tiles, a numbered "Tool" list with a cost chart, a "Compare" table, investors and numbers, a closing call to action and the footer. Colour is one acid yellow, #f0fb29, on off-white with black rules; the olive values appear only as gradient shading. IBM Plex Sans sets headings and IBM Plex Mono sets nav, labels and buttons. Slash-prefixed labels and a diff snippet give it a terminal identity.
HeroesView crop
The yellow hero sets the pixel wordmark across the full width under a nav of "PRICING", "CUSTOMERS", "RESOURCES", "SUPPORT" and "LOG IN". The headline "The fastest way to run your GitHub Actions" sits right, above a blue-highlighted diff, a black "TRY FOR FREE" pill, an outlined "CONTACT OUR TEAM" pill and nine customer logos.
PricingView crop
Two panels sit side by side: "Ubuntu x64" at "$0.004 /min" with a "67%" savings badge, and "Ubuntu ARM" at "$0.0025 /min" with "75%". Each lists four yellow-checked inclusions, three plus-icon add-ons such as "Static IPs (+$100/IP/mo.)", and an identical yellow "TRY FOR FREE" pill.
About UsView crop
A yellow band states "Blacksmith is fast CI.", followed by a "Blacksmith snapshot" grid of three cells, "3", "29" and "30K", one filled yellow. "Forged in fire, and lots of spaghetti" introduces a greyscale founders photo, a four-column staff list, pull quotes, and investor tiles for "Y Combinator" and "Google Ventures".
Contact UsView crop
"Contact Our Team" sits left with two yellow-checked claims, while the right column stacks bordered fields for "First Name*", "Last Name*", "Work Email*", "Company Name*" and a message box. A yellow "CONTACT OUR TEAM" pill follows, then a "Contact Support" link for technical issues.
Careers pagesView crop
Retro styling dominates: a yellow grid, binary-code strips and marquee banners reading "JOIN US", "BENEFITS" and "WE'RE HIRING". Values and benefits live in desktop-window widgets with a table-of-contents sidebar. A "LEVEL UP" row offers "Food", "Music" and "Movies", then "14 open positions" run as ruled rows of title, department and city.
Blog pagesView crop
"We write words too" heads the yellow intro. A featured outage post takes the left column with a dotted illustration, three smaller cards stack right, and pill filters read "ALL", "ENGINEERING", "NEWS" and "PRODUCT". A ruled archive of title, category and date ends in "SHOW MORE".
FootersView crop
The yellow footer has "/ SIGN UP FOR NEWS" above one "Email*" field and three bordered social boxes for X, LinkedIn and YouTube. Right, "/ PRODUCT", "/ RESOURCES" and "/ COMPANY" each list four uppercase mono links, with "STATUS" marked by a black square.
On mobile
At 390px the page runs 11379px. The wordmark wraps to two lines, logos form a wrapped grid, and the hero keeps only "CONTACT OUR TEAM", dropping "TRY FOR FREE". Panels and stats stack in single columns, and the "Compare" table collapses into "Performance" and "Cost" accordion rows.
Worth borrowing
- A diff snippet in the hero shows the whole migration in two lines.
- Slash-prefixed mono labels such as "/ COMPARE" over hairline rules give long pages a steady rhythm.
- Filling one cell per bordered grid with yellow adds focus while the rest stays outlined.
