Replicate
replicate.com/
Replicate is an API platform for running, fine-tuning, and deploying open-source machine learning models, using its own open-source packaging tool called Cog, with per-second usage pricing (from $0.0001/sec CPU up to $0.0014/sec for A100 GPU). The headline "Run AI with an API" is backed by per-model run counters displayed for specific models — Google's Nano Banana-2 shown at 19.4M runs, OpenAI's GPT-Image-2 at 28.3M — a level of usage transparency uncommon among model-hosting platforms. The homepage mixes generated sample outputs (a sunset patio, a banana chair) with community model carousels and customer logos including BuzzFeed, Character.ai, and Unsplash, plus a three-part structure of run, fine-tune, and deploy.

The Replicate homepage runs about 7,878 pixels at desktop width. It opens on a full-bleed gradient hero with a code sample beside an image, then a row of pill buttons, model cards, a ring of avatars, a community pitch, a white "How it works" panel with three code-led steps, a black "Scale on Replicate" band, an oversized closing statement and a footer. The gradient moves from magenta (#e44bd8) through yellow (#e2d412) to orange (#dc662a), and the lower page switches to black panels with red-orange headings and thin red outlines.
Above the fold
A top bar holds the logo, a search field, "Explore", "Pricing", "Enterprise", "Docs" and "Blog", a "Sign in" link and a black "Try for free" button. The white headline sits on the gradient above a black "Get started for free" button. Beneath, a code card with "Node", "Python" and "HTTP" tabs shows a model call beside a photo of a woman reading in a bookstore.
Task pills, model cards and community pitch
"With Replicate you can" introduces seven pill buttons, from "Generate images" to "Large Language Models (LLMs)", above a row of model cards such as "nano-banana-2" with run counts and an "Official" tag. Two rows of round avatars linked by dotted lines precede "Thousands of models contributed by our community", with "Explore models" in black and "Push a model" outlined. A second card band lists "gpt-image-2" and "claude-opus-4.7".
Step panel and scale band
"How it works" is a white panel with three indented blocks under red-orange headings: "Run models", "Fine-tune models with your own data" and "Deploy custom models". A black band, "Scale on Replicate", shows eight customer logos including "BuzzFeed" and "Unsplash", then a two-by-two grid headed "Automatic scale", "Pay for what you use", "Forget about infrastructure" and "Logging & monitoring", each with a chart, price table or diagram.
Closing section and footer
A giant "Imagine what you can build" line is broken up by five thumbnail clips, above a short paragraph and a black "Get started" button. Three striped magenta and yellow bars separate it from the footer, which has "Product", "Community" and "Company" columns and an "All services are online" status.
On mobile
At 390px the page is 12,368 pixels. The nav collapses to a search field and a "Menu" button, the code card sits above its photo, and the pills wrap into rows. Model cards and code boxes are cropped at the right edge. The eight logos stack one per row at large size, and the four feature tiles run in one column. The scattered words of "Imagine what you can build" become a heading above five labeled tiles, from "Autonomous Robots" to "Language Model CLI".
Worth borrowing
- Putting a code sample with "Node", "Python" and "HTTP" tabs inside the hero shows the product as an API call before any copy.
- Pill buttons starting with "Generate images" turn the model catalog into task-based entry points.
- Pairing "Automatic scale" and "Pay for what you use" with a chart and a GPU price table shows each claim as data instead of a screenshot.
