Hex
hex.tech/
Hex is a data analytics platform combining code-based notebooks (SQL and Python) for analysts with a plain-language conversational layer, called Threads, aimed at letting non-technical business users ask data questions directly. Its hero line, 'Make everyone a data person,' captures that split, and a separate 'Context Studio' feature is positioned specifically to govern what the AI is allowed to say using a company's own semantic models and business rules. The page leans on named-customer specificity rather than generic praise: Mercor is quoted saying 'If we didn't have Hex, we might've left more than $100M on the table,' and the homepage repeats a consistent pattern for each core feature - an interactive demo, a customer quote, and a stated benefit - across Notebooks, Threads, and Data Apps.

The Hex homepage runs about 10,419 pixels at desktop width: ticker, navigation, centered hero with product mockups, logo wall, alternating feature rows with testimonials, customer stories, integrations grid, closing call to action, FAQ and footer. Colour stays warm off-white and near-black, with detected violet #665ab3 and lavender #867cc2 in chart bars and pale pink #f5c0c0 outlining primary buttons. Headlines pair PP Formula SemiExtended with an italic serif accent, and Cinetype carries body copy. Product UI serves as the imagery throughout. Section backgrounds barely change, so structure comes from spacing, thin rules and bordered cards.
Above the fold
A scrolling announcement ticker sits above navigation with "Platform", "Solutions", "Enterprise", "Resources", "Pricing", "Log In" and a pink-outlined "Get started" button around a centered logo. The headline sets "The AI Analytics Platform" in italic serif above "where trust meets insight" in heavy sans. Buttons read "Get started for free" and "Request a demo". Three overlapping app windows tagged "Agentic data notebooks", "Conversational self-serve" and "Beautiful data apps" follow.
Logo wall and feature rows
A "Trusted by leading data companies" label introduces two rows of about ten logos, including Reddit, Anthropic, Ramp, Figma and Brex. "Trusted AI workflows for every data question" then opens three alternating feature rows. Each pairs a large screenshot with an icon, heading, short paragraph, outlined button such as "Explore context curation" and a quote with a company logo. A two-column quote strip from Mercor and Algolia interrupts them.
Customer stories and integrations
"Loved by the best data teams" introduces four story columns for Notion, Mercor, Figma and Neo, each with a logo, bold title and two lines of text. Below sit six G2 badges under "Users love Hex" and a large Notion quote card. "Instant integration with the whole stack" follows with a grey grid of six cards holding line illustrations, partner logos such as Snowflake, dbt and Airflow, a title and a description.
Closing section and footer
The closing block, "Getting started is easy.", offers "Get started for free" and "Talk to us" beside a second column with "See our plans". An "FAQ" accordion lists twelve questions, from "What is Hex?" to "How is Hex different from what Snowflake and Databricks offer?". The footer has a logo with "Made with" a heart and globe, four link columns labelled "Company", "Platform", "Resources" and "Connect", and a segmented-digit counter.
On mobile
At 390px the hero headline wraps to four lines while the two buttons stay side by side under the paragraph. The three app windows are cropped at the right edge rather than rearranged. Logos reflow into a centered cluster of short rows. Feature rows stack with text and button above each screenshot, integration cards become one column, FAQ rows span the full width, and footer links split into two columns.
Worth borrowing
- Small monospace tags such as "Conversational self-serve" name each product mockup without extra headline copy.
- Pairing an italic serif line with a heavy sans line gives one headline two typographic voices.
- A named customer quote under every feature button ties each claim to proof before the next row.
