Fly
fly.io/
Fly.io runs cloud infrastructure built around three named products: Sprites, persistent Linux computers for AI agents with automatic checkpointing; Fly Machines, VMs with sub-second boot times for deployed apps; and a managed Postgres service. The homepage repeatedly contrasts Sprites against Machines as a deliberate two-tier model — agent runtime versus deployment target — rather than presenting one undifferentiated product. Its pitch to agent builders is pointed: "Sandboxed isn't sufficient. Give your agent a real computer." Specific figures include 18+ regions, under one second boot time, and a 99.9% uptime SLA, with customer logos from Supabase, Replicate, and Firecrawl reinforcing a developer-to-developer tone rather than enterprise branding.

The home page runs about 6835px at desktop width: nav, hero "Computers for agents", carousel "Machines that Remember", checklist "A Real Durable Filesystem", card row "Nothing to Manage", stats "Grow without drama", card row "A Connection to Everything", logo strip, "Support that knows the stack" quotes, dark footer. Buttons use #7c3aed violet, the footer sits on #281950, and pastel panels blend #f5d2d9 pink with #c9e3fc blue. Display type is Mackinac with Fricolage Grotesque, and the white nav carries "Get Started" and "Sign In" buttons. Hand-drawn creature illustrations replace product screenshots, which is unusual for infrastructure.
HeroesView crop
The hero sets a very large serif headline, "Computers for agents", at left over a pink-to-blue gradient, with the subline "Sandboxes aren't enough." and one violet "Start with Sprites" button. At right a painted purple server tower with wings and birds floats among pink, teal and blue ribbons.
FeaturesView crop
A rounded gradient panel headed "Machines that Remember" holds a two-line subline, a button and circular arrows. A ruled row of cards below shows "Coding Agents", "Personal agents" and "MCP servers"; a fourth card is cut off at the right edge.
FootersView crop
The dark indigo footer puts the "Fly.io" logo at left beside five link columns: "COMPANY", "ARTICLES" with nine titles such as "Infra Log" and "Django Beats", "RESOURCES", "CONTACT" and "LEGAL". Below a divider sits a newsletter row with "Your name" and "you@example.com" fields and a violet "Subscribe" button.
Logo cloudsView crop
Eleven greyscale customer marks sit on white in two centred rows of six and five: "Kilocode", "Builder.io", "Hatchet", "Phonic", "Supabase", "Firecrawl", "Plastic Labs", "Replicate", "Steel", "Delos" and "Lemonade". Each pairs a small icon with a wordmark in one muted grey, with no heading or caption above the strip.
Pricing & PlansView crop
The pricing page opens on a near-black hero, "Public Cloud Billing The Easy Way", with "Easy" italic and underlined. A purple band holds three icon columns: "Pay-as-You-Go Infrastructure", "Serious Support" and "Pay up Front and Save". A white card offers "Calculate Your Cost"; alternating rows follow for "Enterprise-Ready" and "Compliance Made Easy".
About UsView crop
The about page opens with a purple dusk illustration of boats and balloons under "What's This All About?". A "MEET THE TEAM" label introduces a three-column grid of circular photos, each with a name, job title, a small country flag and social icons. Titles range from "Developer" to "CEO".
Careers pagesView crop
The jobs page has a dark plum header with faint plant drawings and a "Jobs" script logo. "Join Our Team" sits at left; at right, four green-checked perks start with "Unlimited PTO". One white card overlaps the header edge: "Networking Engineer: Proxy and Corrosion", tagged "Anywhere", with a truncated description.
Blog pagesView crop
The blog index opens on a dark purple header. A featured post, "Turn And Face The Strange", shows author and read-time metadata, a short excerpt and a yellow "Read more" link beside a framed illustration of a compass, mountains and a balloon. Three bordered cards with painted purple, green and magenta covers begin the grid.
On mobile
At 390px the nav collapses to a logo and menu icon, and the hero headline shrinks beside the illustration with "Start with Sprites" below. Cards and illustrations stack one per row, stretching the page to about 10356px. Stats become a two-by-two grid, logos wrap in pairs, and footer links reflow into two columns above a full-width "Subscribe".
Worth borrowing
- A huge serif headline paired with a painted mascot, as in "Computers for agents", gives a technical product personality.
- Rounded pastel gradient panels alternating with white bands, as in "Nothing to Manage", pace a long page without borders.
- Naming footer columns after newsletters like "Toolbox Turnout" turns link lists into audience entry points.
