Revenuecat

revenuecat.com/

RevenueCat is a backend for managing in-app subscriptions across iOS, Android, and web, handling purchase infrastructure, receipt validation, paywall building and A/B testing, and churn/retention analytics. Its headline "Build and grow your app business" is backed by specific scale numbers: 144,000+ apps supported, 5 billion-plus API requests daily, and $17 billion-plus in revenue processed to date. Case studies cite precise outcomes — Pixelcut a 16% increase in subscribers, Dipsea a 36% reduction in refund rates, VSCO almost a 5% reduction in churn — and the page organizes its features by team role (engineering, marketing, product, support, data, leadership) rather than by product module. It also displays 4.8/5 Capterra and 4.7/5 G2 ratings directly on the page.

Revenuecat design review: how the homepage is built

The RevenueCat homepage runs about 11,735 pixels on desktop and sits on a pale ground (#f9f9fb) with navy headings (#1f1f47) and blue buttons (#576ddb). The blocks run from a split hero with a code snippet and dashboard mock, through card rows and case-study pairs, to a closing call to action and a four-column footer. What stands out for infrastructure software is the mix: developer-facing code sits beside marketing-style case studies, and product screenshots of paywall editors carry the middle of the page. The brand shown matches the catalog name, and the page reads as a conversion-led product site.

Above the fold

The fold sets the headline "Build and grow your app business" in large navy type, above an email field reading "Your email adress..." and a blue "Start for free" button. Three figures sit beneath: 130K+ for "Apps supported", 2B+ for "API requests daily" and $16B+ for "Revenue processed". A layered mock on the right shows a code panel, a subscriber chart and a paywall card reading "Get outdoors with us".

Team cards and cross-platform purchase panels

Next, "Data and tools for every team" introduces four cards titled "Engineering", "Marketing", "Product" and "Support", the last cropped at the right edge. Below, "Cross-platform purchases built better and faster" leads three cards, including "Your subscription backend-in-a-box", "Just one API" and "Stay ahead of platform changes". A wide "Get started in minutes" panel follows with a grid of platform icons.

Paywall tools, case studies and retention features

A paywall block, "Build, target & test paywalls that convert", pairs a template mock with "Launch faster with pre-built, configurable templates" and "Optimize for every audience". The analytics row, "Understand what drives growth & do more of it", uses cards headed "Make informed decisions faster." Retention cards follow, headed "Self-serve support.", "Automate refund handling." and "Win back at-risk customers." Case-study rows for Pixelcut, Dipsea and HOLYWATER sit between them.

Closing section and footer

A social-proof block cites a photo app with a 5% churn reduction and a quote from Shaheen Essabhoy. Ratings tiles sit under "RevenueCat is trusted by developers globally", followed by "Ready to grow?" with "Start for free" and "Talk to sales". The footer runs link columns headed "Product", "Solutions", "Resources" and "Developers", with a legal list beneath the last column.

On mobile

At 390px the hero stacks into one column, with the full-width "Start for free" button placed before the metrics and the layered mock below. Card rows scroll sideways, so the "Marketing" card is cut off at the edge. Paywall and case-study rows become single-column blocks, and the footer collapses into one long list per column.

Worth borrowing

  • Place the headline, a one-line email capture and a primary button above a row of three metrics, so the conversion path is visible before any product mock.
  • Let card rows run past the right edge on desktop to signal more content, which is how the Support card reads here.
  • Pair each case study with one bold figure, such as 36 percent or 16 percent, set beside the customer logo tile.
