Rivet

rivet.dev/

Rivet is infrastructure for running AI agents in production, built from four named components: Actors (durable processes with streaming and memory), agentOS (an isolated code-execution environment), Workflows (multi-step operations that survive restarts), and Dynamic Apps (deploying AI-generated applications). Rather than a product screenshot, the hero pairs the tagline "Infrastructure for the Agentic Era" with classical imagery of Rodin's The Thinker, an unusual choice for an infra product. It emphasizes deployment flexibility with the line "Run your agent infrastructure where your data already lives," offering local dev, Rivet Cloud, or bring-your-own-cloud, and backs credibility with Y Combinator and a16z Speedrun logos rather than customer counts.

Rivet design review: how the homepage is built

Rivet's homepage is a light, warm-grey page with a single rust accent. The brand matches meta.name. The palette is #ab451f for the primary button and accents, #e8e8e8 for the page background and #686868 for secondary text. Blocks run top to bottom: a split hero with the headline "Infrastructure for the agentic era." beside a black-and-white photograph of a bronze sculpture, a four-card product row, a code-panel product screenshot, a stack list, a deployment choice, a dark image banner and a footer. meta.json lists Manrope for display type and no body face. The page is distinctive for its photographic hero, which pairs a classical sculpture with infrastructure copy.

Above the fold

The hero sits on a light grey field under a navigation bar holding "Products", "Documentation", "Enterprise" and "Pricing" and a dark "Sign In" button. A pill banner reads "Introducing agentOS Execution API for JavaScript and Python". The headline sits above the subhead "Run agents. Automate workloads. Deploy what they build." beside a rust "Start Building" button and a code box reading "npx skills add rivet-dev/skills". The sculpture photograph sits on the right.

Product cards and observability

"Four products, one primitive." introduces four outlined cards numbered 01 to 04: "Actors", "agentOS", "Workflows" and "Dynamic Apps", each with an Explore link. "Built-In Observability" follows with a two-column grid of four tools: "SQLite Viewer", "Workflow State", "Event Monitoring" and "REPL", separated by thin rules. A framed screenshot below the cards shows a "Chat Room" panel listing channels such as "general" and "random" beside a JSON state view.

Stack and deployment options

"Works with your stack." groups tags under "FRAMEWORKS", "RUNTIMES" and "TOOLS", with an "INTEGRATIONS" row of three pills. "Start local. Scale to millions." follows with three cards: "Just a Library" with a dark install command, "Rivet Cloud" with a "Sign Up" button and "Self-Host" with a Docker command. "YOUR BACKEND DEPLOYS TO" introduces a row of platform pills, from Compose to Freestyle.

Closing section and footer

"Run it where your data lives." sits beside a diagram labelled "YOUR PERIMETER", with stacked boxes "Your backend", "Rivet control plane" and "Your storage". Two buttons follow, "Talk to an engineer" and "Rivet for Enterprise". A dark banner repeats "Infrastructure for the agentic era." above "Start Building" and "Talk to an Engineer". The footer has five link columns, "PRODUCT" through "LEGAL", and "Backed by" badges.

On mobile

At 390px the hero stacks, with the pill banner, the headline across three lines, a full-width rust button and the code box above the sculpture photograph. The four product cards become single full-width cards. The stack pills wrap onto several lines, and the footer link columns become one column. The product screenshot and perimeter diagram each stack as full-width panels.

Worth borrowing

  • A pill banner, "Introducing agentOS Execution API for JavaScript and Python", announces the newest product above the main message.
  • Numbered outlined cards give each product a fixed slot, with the first card outlined darker as the lead product.
  • A classical photograph in the hero sits beside a dark install command, pairing an image with a developer action.
