Supabase
supabase.com/
Supabase is an open-source backend platform built on Postgres, bundling database hosting, authentication, file storage, serverless edge functions, and vector embeddings into one integrated toolset rather than requiring separate services stitched together. Its headline, "Build in a weekend. Scale to millions," is followed by concrete technical specifics instead of marketing abstractions: 40+ preinstalled Postgres extensions, 20+ social login providers, a storage CDN spanning 285+ cities, and support for over 2 million NPM modules in its edge functions. The page repeatedly stresses that every layer runs on standard, self-hostable Postgres with no proprietary lock-in, a positioning argument aimed squarely at developers wary of vendor-specific databases.

The Supabase homepage is 7,691 pixels tall on desktop and moves from a hero with a seven-card product grid to a logo band, a dashboard tab demo, a code sample, a template grid, customer stories, a testimonial wall, a closing call to action and a footer. The ground is near-white with grey and black text and thin card borders. Green is the only accent, from #3fcf8e and #72e3ad, used on the second headline line and buttons. Type is Manrope for display and Inter for body. The product list is the main visual device.
Above the fold
A top bar holds the logo, four nav links, a "108.2K" GitHub count, "Sign in" and a green "Start your project". The headline is split into black "Build in a weekend" and green "Scale to millions", with a short paragraph to its right. Buttons are "Start your project" and "Request a demo". A grid of seven cards follows, from "Postgres Database" to "Data APIs", each with a small illustration, ending in "Use one or all."
Logo band and dashboard demo
The caption "Trusted by fast-growing companies worldwide" sits above a bordered band of twelve grey logos in two rows, including Lovable, Figma, GitHub and Resend. The next heading, "Stay productive and manage your app without leaving the dashboard", is followed by three pill tabs: "Table Editor", "SQL Editor" and "RLS Policies". Beneath them, a screenshot of a table-creation form with a "Enable Row Level Security (RLS)" checkbox is partly faded on its left side.
Code sample, templates and customer stories
"Use Supabase with React" pairs a heading on the left with a code panel on the right, topped by six framework icons and a "Read docs for React" link. "Kickstart your next project with production ready templates" shows two large preview cards, "Stripe Subscriptions Starter" and "Next.js Starter", above four text-only cards. A story section places a full-height pink-to-orange Lovable quote card beside four narrow dark tiles.
Community, closing section and footer
"Join the community" has a "Join us on Discord" button above a masonry wall of X posts faded at the edges. "Open source from day one" offers "View on GitHub". The closing line "Build in a weekend, scale to millions" repeats both hero buttons. A strip lists "SOC2 Type 2", "HIPAA" and "ISO 27001". The footer has a logo, social icons, an email subscribe field and six link columns.
On mobile
At 390 pixels the page is 9,727 pixels tall. The hero paragraph moves under the headline and the buttons stay in one row. The seven product cards become a single stack of text rows without illustrations. Logos reflow to a four-row grid, the code sample is clipped at the right, and template cards stack vertically. Customer tiles become full-width bars, and the footer columns pair up in two across.
Worth borrowing
- A two-tone headline, black then green, ties the accent color to the key promise.
- A single card grid with one icon and one sentence per product sets the whole product range in the first screen.
- Tabs labeled "Table Editor", "SQL Editor" and "RLS Policies" let one screenshot area show several tools.
