Superlist
superlist.com/
Superlist is a task management app combining to-do lists, notes, and planning with AI features like turning a voice recording directly into action items, built by the team behind Wunderlist and available on Mac, web, iOS, and Android. Its headline, "Tasks, notes, and plans. Finally in one app," pitches replacing five separate apps with one workspace. Rather than executive testimonials, the trust section pulls five verbatim App Store and Google Play reviews, including one describing the app as replacing a physical "daily to-do notebook" the user used to search the house for — a specific, unpolished detail that reads as genuine user feedback rather than curated marketing copy. The navigation also includes direct comparison pages against Todoist, Notion, and Asana.

More blog pagesSuperlist design review: how the homepage is built
The homepage measures 8,599 pixels at desktop width and moves from a hero with one app screenshot to a logo row, three feature groups, a text list of eleven feature names, a pixel-font quote, a download call to action, store reviews and a link-heavy footer. The page is dark throughout, built on #1a1928 and #372547, with #ff4a36 for buttons and headline emphasis, #f866db for accents and #0088d8 blue panels behind screenshots. Display type is Haffer XH SemiBold, with Jersey 10 as a pixel face and Inter for body. Distinctive for its category: saturated colour tiles hold product shots on a near-black page.
Above the fold
The capture opens straight on the headline, "Tasks, notes, and plans." in white over "Finally in one app." in red-orange, with no visible navigation. One "Sign up for free" button sits under a two-line description. A wide desktop app window follows, split between a task document with action items and a blue-tinted photo of a camera operator, over a purple-to-red glow.
Logos and the five-apps section
A centered AI statement leads into "Used by professionals at:" with eight logos in two rows of four, including GitHub, Spotify and Google. Next, "Stop juggling five different apps." appears in white and grey, with three short items on a left rule, "Plan your day", "Stay on top of work" and "Keep home in sync", beside a phone mockup on a blue tile.
Feature groups and feature list
"Everyday superpowers." introduces two columns, "Tasks + notes in one" and "Infinitely nested lists and subtasks", over blue and purple tiles. "Move seamlessly from talk to done." brings three columns on red, blue and purple tiles. Product Hunt badges then precede eleven centered feature names, from "Real-time collaboration" to "Fast AF", fading from white to near-invisible grey.
Closing section and footer
A pixel-font quote reads "In a sea of ultra-efficient productivity tools, Superlist brings a little more fun to getting things done." with a gradient on the second half, credited to The Verge. "Start bringing balance back to your life." sits over a "Download for macOS" button and a masonry of store reviews. The footer has several link columns, a version card, and two rows of "alternative" links.
On mobile
At 390px the page grows to 9,954 pixels, taller than desktop. The hero headline wraps to four lines and the desktop window becomes a phone screenshot. Logos reflow to two columns of four. Two-column feature groups and three-column groups become single stacks, each with a heading, text and tile. The feature list and quote keep their centered treatment. Reviews stack one per row, and footer links condense into smaller grouped columns.
Worth borrowing
- Greying the second half of each headline, as in "Superlist makes it simple to manage your entire life.", sets a two-tier hierarchy without another typeface.
- Saturated blue, red and purple tiles behind screenshots keep product shots distinct on a near-black page.
- A centered feature list that fades from white to grey turns eleven attributes into a single scannable moment.
