Acctual
acctual.com/
Acctual is a free invoicing tool for freelancers and small agencies that promises same-day payouts to a bank account or crypto wallet, accepting cards, bank transfers, and stablecoins with no monthly fee — 2.7% on card payments, 1% on bank transfers, and support for 135+ currencies. The homepage claims 5,000+ businesses use it and structures its pitch as a direct contrast, labeling competitors "Slow / Expensive / Confusing." One customer quote states payment arrived "within seven minutes via USDC." A banner running twice across the page announces "Acctual is joining Altitude" — pointing to a pending acquisition rather than routine partnership language.

More blog pagesAcctual design review: how the homepage is built
The homepage runs about 12,213 pixels tall on desktop. The page is built with Framer and brands itself as "Acctual" throughout. Blocks run top to bottom: a hero, a six-card audience grid, a three-column comparison, a feature-card row, a run of alternating photo and text sections, and an FAQ of twelve questions above the footer. Product imagery is mostly rendered desk props and photographs of invoices on wood. Sections are separated by generous white space. The palette is near-white, with black calls to action in #010104 and pale blue #a7d9f8 for tags and card tints. The detected display face is Open Runde.
Above the fold
The hero is a centred headline, "Get paid on time", over a line of grey copy and one black button, "Send my first invoice". Three chips sit beneath it, "Cards 2.7%", "Bank transfer 1%" and "Stablecoin 1%", each with a blue check. An invoice card reading "Marble Studio" billing "Charm AI" sits below the chips, flanked by desk props. The top bar holds "Freelancer", "Agency", "Pricing", "Blog" and "Guides" with a black "Sign up for free" button.
Pricing contrast and feature cards
The block opens with a three-column contrast headed "Accounting platforms are a slow, expensive way to invoice clients", with tags "Slow", "Expensive" and "Confusing" over tinted tiles in blue, pink and lavender. Next, "Same day payments. No subscription." heads a grid of six small cards, from "The industry's lowest transfer fees" to "Invoices sync with Xero and Quickbooks". A black "Create an invoice" button closes the stretch.
Photo-led payment and reminder sections
The third stretch alternates headings with photographs. "We designed a faster invoice experience with lower fees" leads a wood-desk photo of invoices, followed by a payment widget reading "Get paid with Acctual" over a keyboard photo. A phone lock screen sits beside "Get same day payouts, sent directly to your bank account or wallet.", and a reminder email reads "Friendly reminder this invoice is 14 days overdue." to close the run.
Integrations, trust and FAQ
A rounded card headed "Automatically sync and reconcile each transaction with QuickBooks and Xero" lists Xero and Quickbooks side by side, then two tinted tiles, "PCI standards" and "SSL encryption & tokenization", each with a shield. The page then closes with "Send an invoice that gets you paid faster" with a black "Create an invoice" button, and ends with "FAQs" over twelve questions and a footer.
On mobile
At 390px the hero keeps its headline and subhead, but the three chips stack into a column and the invoice mockup is cropped at the right edge. The six audience cards become a single column, each with an icon. The three contrast tiles stack, and the feature cards turn into a vertical list ending in "Create an invoice". The photo sections collapse to one column, with each quote under its photo.
Worth borrowing
- Set a three-column contrast of what the category gets wrong before showing the product.
- Show each payment method as a labelled chip with its fee, as in "Cards 2.7%".
- Place each quote beneath its photo so every testimonial sits next to a specific claim.
