Asymptote design review: how the homepage is built

The page runs from a navy announcement bar and an illustrated hero through a sixteen-person backer grid, a problem row, a tabbed solution block, a Beacon architecture diagram, two product cards, an integrations strip, an FAQ, a blue closing panel, 8087 pixels tall on desktop. It sits on warm off-white within pale-blue column rules, with #006cff for the second half of most headlines and buttons, #0d1d33 navy for dark cards and #cce2ff for secondary buttons. Familjen Grotesk sets the headlines and DM Mono the bracketed labels. A woodcut-style blue king with shield and sceptre stands in for a product screenshot.

Above the fold

A navy strip announces "Asymptote Labs Raises $5.5M to Build Runtime Infrastructure for AI Agents". Below, the two-line black headline is followed by "Observe, govern, optimize." in blue, a paragraph and two square mono buttons: solid "BOOK A DEMO" and pale "EXPLORE AGENT BEACON" with a GitHub mark. The right third holds the blue king illustration over a faint grid, with a quarter-cut ornament in the top corner.

Backers, problem and tabbed solution

"BACKED BY WORLD-CLASS SECURITY & ENGINEERING LEADERS" heads a four-by-four grid of headshots with names and titles, from "Aaron Zollman" to "Henry Shi". "[ PROBLEM ]" introduces three numbered cards: "Agent Sprawl", "Uncontrolled Risk" and "Hidden Cost & Performance". "[ SOLUTION ]" leads to three tabs, "01 RUNTIME VISIBILITY" active in blue, beside a blue tile grid of six agent tools. "One view of every agent." lists four teams, ending with "Finance".

Beacon diagram, products and integrations

"Built on" plus a blue "an open data layer." heads a wide diagram: six source boxes feed an orange "BEACON" bar, which fans out under "Unified Telemetry" to nine destination tiles. "Start open source. Scale into enterprise control." pairs a light "Agent Beacon" card with a navy "Asymptote Platform" card above a "Choose the right product for your team." strip. A blue band of logo tiles centres the brand mark.

FAQ, closing panel and footer

"Frequently Asked Questions" sits left of eight questions separated by hairlines, the first, "What is Asymptote?", open with its answer. A gradient navy-to-blue panel framed by striped edges carries "Bring all agents under enterprise control." and repeats both hero buttons, the second outlined in white. The footer lists five mono-headed columns, "PLATFORM" through "LEGAL", above a full-width black wordmark beside the blue four-point logo.

On mobile

At 390px the page grows to 13152 pixels, mostly because the backer grid becomes a single column of sixteen rows. The hero buttons stack and the king moves below them. The solution tabs become a vertical list, the Beacon diagram shrinks to an unreadable thumbnail, and the two product cards stack with the navy one second. The footer columns pair up two by two.

Worth borrowing

  • Setting the second clause of each headline in blue, as in "No one has a shared view.", gives every section the same two-beat rhythm.
  • Naming sixteen individual backers with roles and companies builds trust where a logo row would show less.
  • Labelling sections in bracketed mono, such as "[ PROBLEM ]", keeps a security product's long narrative easy to scan.
