Remote

remote.com/

Remote is a global employment platform offering Employer of Record, global payroll, and contractor-of-record services, distinguished by running these operations through wholly owned in-house entities in each country rather than a network of local partners. Its headline, "Global employment runs on Remote," is followed by the specific claim of owned infrastructure delivering compliance and reliability "that only owned infrastructure delivers," with a stated average onboarding time of 2.3 days. Trust signals include 4,000+ aggregated reviews across G2, Trustpilot, and Capterra, G2 Leader badges in multi-country payroll, and a customer-logo carousel featuring Anthropic, Vercel, Mercury, and GitLab — an unusually developer/startup-heavy logo mix for an HR/EOR vendor.

Remote design review: how the homepage is built

The Remote homepage runs about 7,301 pixels tall on desktop: a split hero, a company-name band, a product accordion, integration cards, customer quotes and review badges, then a closing call to action and a multi-column footer. The colour approach is light, with a pale grey-blue hero panel (#dbe2e8) carrying a #a8cae7 wash at its top right, and #0059ff on every primary button. Copy sits in dark grey or black on that light ground, so the blue carries every call to action. The page brands itself as Remote, matching the catalogue name. In people and culture software, the distinctive choice is a blue globe carrying transaction cards rather than a team photograph.

Above the fold

The hero splits in two. On the left, "Global employment runs on Remote" sits above a subhead beginning "Hire and pay anyone in the world". On the right, a blue globe carries floating cards for "Ana Pereira", "Payroll run" with €487k, "Contract signed" and a contractor in Tokyo. Solid blue and outlined buttons follow, then a grey wordmark band under "GLOBAL COMPANIES GROW WITH REMOTE".

Product accordion and contractor card

"One system of record. Every employment need." introduces five products as an accordion, from "Employer of Record (EOR)" to "Professional Employer Organization (PEO)", with "Global Payroll", "Contractor of Record (COR)" and "Contractor Management" between. The open EOR panel is deep maroon, a colour used nowhere else on the page, and promises "onboarded in hours, not months." Beside it, a contractor card for Sakura Tanaka sits over an empty "Things to do" panel.

Integration cards and partner marks

A centred band asks "Hiring internationally, converting contractors, or consolidating payroll? Talk to our team." beside one blue button. "Your workflows, your way, on our infrastructure" introduces three navy-illustrated cards tagged "MCP", "INTEGRATIONS" and "API". "The world's best teams run on Remote" then closes with Gusto, BambooHR and Personio marks and a "Become a Partner" button.

Closing section and footer

"A word from our customers" carries quote cards credited to Luke McKinlay, VP of Finance, and Marisol Jiménez, Head of People. "The #1 global HR platform as voted by you" shows six G2 badges and ratings of 4.6/5, 4.7/5 and 4.4/5 above "4,000+ reviews". A blue-tinted band then reads "Global employment is hard. We built the infrastructure to do it right." with a blue button. The footer groups links under seven headings, from "Solutions" to "Partnerships".

On mobile

At 390px the hero stacks, with the two buttons full width above a smaller globe. The wordmark band wraps into several rows, and the three integration cards become one column with taller illustrations. Review badges shrink to a two-column grid. The footer turns into collapsible rows with plus icons, and a purple chat button floats over most screens.

Worth borrowing

  • Put activity in the hero: transaction cards on the globe show payroll and contract events rather than an abstract illustration.
  • Open one product at a time in an accordion, so five offerings fit on one screen.
  • Place review scores directly above the closing call to action, so proof arrives right before the ask.
