tryterracotta.com/

Terracotta AI reviews Terraform code automatically inside pull requests, aiming to catch infrastructure-as-code issues before they deploy. The homepage headline, "AI Terraform Review for Every Pull Request," frames this as something every PR should get rather than an optional add-on, and the site is narrowly scoped to Terraform specifically rather than broader DevOps tooling. The page is minimal, without customer logos, testimonials, or published metrics visible on the homepage, leading with a single value proposition instead of a feature list.

Tryterracotta design review: how the homepage is built

The Tryterracotta homepage runs about 11,720 pixels on a dark charcoal canvas: nav and centered hero, a product window, a logo strip, a problem statement, six feature cards, an audience split, two testimonials, three setup steps, a comparison table, three pricing tiers, a closing panel and a footer. Orange, #fa6902, colours the eyebrow labels, buttons and tags, while #1a232b and #09090b darken the card interiors. InterVariable sets the oversized headlines. The imagery is mock pull-request panels and code snippets rather than abstract illustration.

Above the fold

The header holds a "Terracotta" wordmark, six nav items, an orange "Sign Up" pill and a "Log in" link. Below sit a "Backed by Y Combinator" badge, an outlined tag reading "Infrastructure change governance for regulated organizations", and a two-line centered headline over a four-line grey paragraph. Two buttons follow, one solid orange and one outlined. A row of "SOC 2 Type II", "HIPAA Compliant" and four tool names ends the fold, with a cookie banner overlapping the product window.

Product window, problem cards and feature grid

A wide product window shows a pull request titled "Replacing t2 with t3 xlarge for terracotta ai" under a "REVIEW NEEDED" warning. A strip headed "Trusted by platform engineering teams at" shows five faint logos. A statement section introduces three cards: "Undetected Drift", "Ungoverned Cost Changes" and "Silent Security Gaps". A two-column grid of six cards follows, each with an orange pill tag such as "COST GOVERNANCE" or "DRIFT DETECTION".

Audience split, testimonials and setup steps

Two cards, "PR Governance" and "Governance Dashboard", sit under a three-line headline and are followed by an orange "Explore the full platform" link. Two quotes then sit side by side, one under a Laminated Labs logo from "Robert Christensen", one under a SupportLogic logo from "Tyler Pinckard". Three columns with monospaced orange numerals 01, 02 and 03 follow: "Connect your repos", "Set your governance policies" and "Stay audit-ready".

Comparison, pricing, closing section and footer

A comparison table carries the headers "Feature / Insight", "What you have today" and "Terracotta AI". Pricing has a Monthly and Annual toggle marked "Save 32%" and three tiers: "Free", a $49 card outlined in orange with "Upgrade to Platform", and "Custom". A rounded closing panel pairs the hero button with "Talk to our team". The footer has columns "Product", "Compare", "Resources" and "Legal", "Use Cases" under resources, and an "Operational" status dot.

On mobile

At 390px the nav collapses to a hamburger icon beside the wordmark, and the badge and tag wrap onto two lines. The two hero buttons stay side by side but shrink. The product window narrows and clips its text. Every card grid becomes one column, so the feature cards and setup steps stack. Pricing tiers stack Free, $49, then Custom, and the closing buttons become two full-width bars.

Worth borrowing

  • A status line pairing "SOC 2 Type II" and "HIPAA Compliant" under the hero buttons answers procurement questions early.
  • A mock pull-request panel with real severity counts serves as the hero image instead of an illustration.
  • Orange eyebrow labels above each large headline give the long dark page a repeating rhythm.
