Tuple

tuple.app/

Tuple is a dedicated remote pair-programming app for macOS and Windows offering screen sharing up to 5K resolution, audio, video, and full remote control, with a Linux alpha also announced. The homepage headline calls it "the best remote pair programming app on macOS and Windows" and argues generic screen-share tools "just won't cut it" for engineers. A distinctive privacy feature called "App Veil" is shown with side-by-side host-versus-guest screenshots, and a "Triggers" section demonstrates scripting the app via shell commands, unusual for a collaboration tool. Named testimonials include Shopify's VP of Engineering calling it their default remote-pairing tool, alongside quotes from PlanetScale, Figma, and Clerk.

Tuple design review: how the homepage is built

Tuple's homepage is a long, light page for a remote pair programming app, with a dark workflow band in the middle. From top to bottom it runs a hero with a code mockup, feature cards, testimonials, a footprint row, a privacy showcase, the dark band, a pairing features block, a closing call to action and a footer. The desktop page is about 9,581 pixels tall. The colour approach is mostly white and light grey, with purple #6a5ed9 on primary buttons and coral-red eyebrow labels above section headings. The distinctive feature is the dark band, where product triggers are drawn as a file tree.

Above the fold

Above the fold, a centred headline reads "The best remote pair programming app on macOS and Windows", with a subhead beginning "Built from the ground up to deliver razor sharp screen sharing". A purple "Start your free trial" button sits below, followed by "Free for 14 days." A pill banner above announces "Tuple for Linux alpha is available!". A large macOS window shows a code file with coloured collaborator tags.

Pairing features and testimonials

Next, "Engineers deserve sharp tools" introduces three cards, "Ridiculously crisp audio and video", "End-to-end encryption" and "Seamless collaboration", each with a short paragraph and a screenshot panel. A row beneath, "One click to swap who's sharing", pairs one paragraph with stacked previews. Under "Don't take our word for it", a large portrait card for Farhan Thawar, VP of Engineering at Shopify, sits beside four smaller quote cards from developers and engineers.

Footprint, App Veil privacy and triggers

Further down, "Respectful of system resources and screen real estate" leads three columns, "Native where it counts", "Obsessed with performance" and "Runs in your menu bar". "Fearless screen sharing with App Veil" shows a macOS desktop with an editor and chat window. The dark band "Built for developers, by developers" holds a file-tree diagram under "Automate your workflow with Triggers".

Pairing extras, closing CTA and footer

Two cards, "Keyboard shortcuts for everything" and "For macOS and Windows", close the dark band. "Liven up your pairing sessions" lists "Screen annotations", "Emoji reactions" and "Animations" beside a sketch of marked-up code. "Ready to get started?" repeats the purple trial button above the line "Give Tuple a spin with a 14-day free trial." The footer has columns headed "Product", "Company" and "Support", with "© 2026 Tuple, LLC" at the base.

On mobile

At 390px the navigation collapses to a menu icon, and the hero headline wraps onto three lines above a purple trial button. The code mockup shrinks to a small window, and the logo strip shows cropped names at the edges. Feature cards and testimonials stack into single columns, with the Shopify card first. The footer changes to two columns of links.

Worth borrowing

  • The hero places a macOS code window with named collaborator tags directly under the trial button.
  • Testimonials pair one oversized portrait card with smaller text quotes, each name printed with its job title.
  • Mobile reorders nothing, so the dark workflow band keeps its position at 390px.
