Vorflux design review: how the homepage is built
A near-black page of thirteen sections, all centred but one Slack block, each opened by a small mono eyebrow with a blue dot and a heavy two-line headline. Desktop runs 13389 pixels. The ground is #121213 banded by faint hairlines, cards sit on #262629, body copy is grey #989996 and headings are off-white #dadbd7. Indigo appears only on dots, step counters, card tags and model names. Plus Jakarta Sans sets every headline. Process grids and tables stand in for illustration.
Above the fold
The header sets the wordmark left, four centred links ("Product" with a caret, "Pricing", "Docs", "Manifesto") and two pills: outlined "Talk to us" and white "Sign up now". On a dotted grid, a "Backed by Y Combinator" chip tops the centred headline. The pills return under the subhead, and a framed app screenshot shows a "What can I help you with?" prompt above five columns of session cards headed "NEEDS INPUT".
Six principles, eight steps and the reviewer
"WHAT'S DIFFERENT" introduces "Beyond the model" and a ruled three-by-two grid of icon cells with mono titles, from "ADVERSARIAL BY DEFAULT" to "DEDICATED COMPUTE". "From idea to shipped code" follows with eight cards in two rows of four, each a dim product thumbnail, a blue counter such as "01 / 08" and a one-word title from "Connect" to "Ship". "The reviewer that never gets tired" adds three cards tagged "SCORED", "STORED" and "SCOPED".
Routines, integrations, pricing and model table
"Work that starts without you" repeats the three-card strip with "Run on a schedule", "Fire on an event" and "Cap the spend". "Wired into your whole stack" is a six-by-three grid of eighteen grey logos. Pricing, headed "Tokenmaxx on a bill you already pay", compares three cards where only "Codex" gets a blue outline, glow and "CHEAPEST PATH" badge. A seven-row table maps roles from "main" to "simplify" against default models set in blue mono.
Testimonials, closing panel and footer
"Trusted by leaders and engineers" lays out nine tweet-style cards in three uneven columns, from "Matt Shumer" to "Soham Daga". "Vorflux on your Mac" offers one "Download for Mac" pill. A navy radial glow frames "Point it at your hardest ticket" with the hero pills again. A left-aligned Slack block and a centred "Need a hand?" block precede a one-line mono footer reading "AI SOFTWARE ENGINEERING IN THE CLOUD."
On mobile
At 390px the page reaches 16384 pixels. The header shrinks to the wordmark and a circled menu button, the headline breaks into three lines, and the hero pills stay side by side. The app screenshot becomes an unreadable strip. Principles and steps stack in single columns, the logo grid narrows to three across, and the model table loses its default-model column off the right edge. In the closing panel both pills widen to full width.
Worth borrowing
- Opening every section with a tiny mono eyebrow and blue dot gives a long dark page a steady rhythm.
- Giving only the "Codex" pricing card a blue outline and a "CHEAPEST PATH" badge steers readers without a recommended column.
- A table naming the default model for each role, from "main" to "simplify", makes a model-neutral claim checkable.
