Cometchat
cometchat.com/
CometChat sells embeddable chat and calling infrastructure — SDKs and APIs for 1:1 messaging, group chat, voice/video, and an AI moderation layer — for developers adding communication features to marketplaces, healthcare, gaming, or dating apps. The homepage leans on precise operational numbers rather than adjectives: "113,000+ apps powered," "7M+ messages sent daily," "163+ countries connected," a "7ms API response time," and "99.999% uptime." One section pitches the product to a different audience than the rest of the page — AI coding agents — via a literal terminal command, `npx @cometchat/skills add`, framing chat as an installable skill rather than a chat SDK. The compliance badge row is unusually long for the category, listing ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, AICPA, PIPEDA, and COPPA together.

The CometChat homepage is dark, about 8,933 pixels tall on desktop, built on a near-black canvas with violet accents. The main accent is #6851d6, and the hero glow fades into the deeper navy #181338. The detected display face is Satoshi. The page runs top to bottom through a hero of stacked chat and call mockups, a stat row, a feature set, a framework grid, customer quotes and a closing call to action. Each block opens with a small violet eyebrow label such as "Platform Features" or "Customer Stories". The closing band repeats the CometChat mark above its headline.
Above the fold
The hero sets "In-app chat and calls, ready to ship." large on the left, above an email field with a violet "Start for Free" button. "Or continue with" leads to "Google" and "GitHub" buttons. On the right, three mockups stack in a column: a chat headed "Pizza Protocol" with "8 Members", a 2x2 video tile labelled "Nikola. T", "Marie. C" and "Ada. L", and an incoming call card for "Alexander Bell" reading "Incoming Voice call".
Stats, logos and platform overview
Five stat cards follow: "113,000+" for "apps powered by CometChat", "7M+" for messages sent every day, "163+" for countries connected, "7ms" for "API response time" and "99.999%" for "uptime". Next, "One platform. Every conversation between your users." sits beside a dotted world map and a command strip reading "npx @cometchat/skills add". A "Trusted Infrastructure" row of six round compliance badges closes the section.
Feature rows, framework grid and feature cards
"Real-time user communication" is headed "Private or group, chat or video - this is your communication core.", and "Full-stack AI agent platform" is headed "LLMs can think. CometChat helps them perform.". Under "Powerful by default", five cards sit in a row of two and a row of three, including "Moderation & Guardrails". "Built to fit your architecture" surrounds one logo with twelve framework tiles.
Customer stories, closing band and footer
Customer quotes sit under "Trusted by developers and product leaders at startups and enterprises alike" as six cards in a 3-by-2 grid, and a "Read more" button ends the grid. The closing band reads "Everything your product needs to talk." above "Talk to Us" and "Get Started for Free" buttons. The footer has five link columns, "Products", "Solutions", "Developers", "Resources" and "Company", beside an "All systems operational" badge.
On mobile
At 390px the two phone mockups sit side by side and are cropped at the right edge. The stat row becomes two columns, with "99.999%" alone on the last line. Framework tiles form a two-column grid, and the customer quotes become one card with pagination dots. The footer turns into accordion rows with plus icons.
Worth borrowing
- Lead the hero with a live product mockup, a chat thread and a video tile, so the first screen shows the product working.
- Put a short stat row with exact figures such as "7ms" and "99.999%" directly under the hero.
- Arrange framework logos as labelled tiles around one central mark, which makes coverage readable at a glance.
