Decodable

decodable.co/

Decodable is a managed platform for real-time data movement and stream processing, built on Apache Flink and Debezium, pitched as 'data where you need it, when you need it,' letting users build pipelines in SQL, Java, or Python without deploying infrastructure themselves. Rather than customer logos, the homepage cites the scale of the open-source projects it's built on — Flink's 23.6k+ GitHub stars and 15M+ downloads — as its proof point. The most notable element on the page is a banner stating the company itself 'has been acquired by Redis,' displayed prominently above the product pitch, and the site organizes its use cases into three named categories: AI, ETL/ELT, and Streaming.

Decodable design review: how the homepage is built

Decodable's homepage pitches a hosted real-time data platform built on Apache Flink and Debezium. The full desktop capture is 5055px tall and alternates a near-black hero and footer with a pale blue-grey middle. Primary buttons use #2f74f9, pink #ff70f1 highlights the words Apache Flink, and teal #44e1bc marks the selected AI tab. Blocks run top to bottom: a purple acquisition banner, a striped hero, three feature cards, an AI use-case panel, three learn-more cards, a Flink stats band, a sign-up band and a footer. The distinctive choice is coloured data lines running through the hero.

Above the fold

The hero is near-black under a purple banner that reads "Decodable has been acquired by Redis!" with a "Read the Blog Post" link. Its headline, "Data where you need it, when you need it", is centred above the subhead. Two buttons follow: a blue "Start Free" and a white "What is Decodable?". The nav shows "Product", "Solutions", "Pricing", "Resources" and "Docs", with "Sign In" at the right.

Feature cards and AI use case

A pale blue-grey section opens with "WHY DECODABLE" and "One platform for real-time ETL/ELT and stream processing". Three white cards follow, each with a coloured eyebrow: "FULLY MANAGED" in teal, "SIMPLIFIED DEVELOPMENT" in pink and "OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE" in blue. Use-case tabs read "AI", "ETL/ELT" and "Streaming", with AI selected. Its panel is headed "Power agentic AI applications with fresh, real-time data" and carries "Start Free" and "Learn More" buttons beside a dark globe illustration.

Learn-more cards and Flink stats

Under "Learn more about Decodable", three cards show "Introduction to Real-time ETL with Decodable", "The Future of Real-time Data Streaming and AI" and "The Blueprint for Success with Real-time Data". Each has an eyebrow, "HANDS-ON LAB", "TECH TALKS" or "ARCHITECTURE GUIDE", and a link reading "Learn More" or "Watch Now". A near-black band headed "Powerful stream processing built on Apache Flink" follows, with "23.6k +" GitHub stars, "1.2k +" contributions and "15M +" downloads.

Closing band and footer

The closing band is outlined in coloured lines and headed "Let's get decoding", with "Decodable is free. No CC required. Never expires." beneath. Three buttons follow: "Start for Free", "Talk to an Expert" and "Join the Community on Slack". The footer has three link columns starting with "Product", "Company" and "Contact", then "Cookie Preferences", "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Services". The legal line reads "All rights reserved © 2021-2026 Decodable".

On mobile

At 390px the hero headline wraps to three lines and the "What is Decodable?" button drops below "Start Free", overlapping the stripes. The three feature cards stack into one column, and the use-case tabs become full-width bars. The AI illustration moves below its bullets. The learn-more cards stack vertically, and the Flink stats wrap, leaving "15M +" alone on a row.

Worth borrowing

  • Giving each feature card its own coloured eyebrow keeps three peer items distinct at a glance.
  • Coloured lines in the hero lead the eye down to the two calls to action.
  • A row of three numbers under the Flink heading proves scale without a testimonial.
