Raycast
raycast.com/
Raycast is a keyboard-first launcher for macOS and Windows that replaces switching between apps with a single command bar, extended through a store of community-built extensions for coding, writing, and design tools. Its homepage headline, "Your shortcut to everything," is followed by a stated 99.8% crash-free rate and community counts (37,000+ Slack members, 90,000+ Twitter followers) as proof points rather than customer-revenue figures. The extensions gallery is organized by category with preview-image cards, and testimonials come from named tech figures like Guillermo Rauch and Marques Brownlee rather than enterprise logos, signaling a developer/power-user audience over an enterprise-buyer one. A footer "Manifesto" link stands in for a conventional About page.

The desktop homepage runs 15,626 pixels on a near-black ground, with the red #d8162b as the single accent and deep maroon #370b0d in shadows. Top to bottom it stacks a hero, a macOS clipboard mock-up, feature cards, an AI section, testimonials, a feature grid, a YouTube row, a numbered build section and a footer. Most of the page is dark product screenshots rather than photography. The hero's red diagonal streaks are the largest decorative graphic. Strong colour appears mainly in the hero and footer, so the middle sections read as neutral dark panels.
Above the fold
The hero sits on black with a large red diagonal streak field behind the headline "Your shortcut to everything." Beneath it, the subhead reads "A collection of powerful productivity tools all within an extendable launcher. Fast, ergonomic and reliable." Two white buttons, "Download for Mac" and "Download for Windows", sit above a small monospace line, "Install via homebrew or winget | Download V1". A pill near the bottom reads "Meet Glaze | Learn more →".
Clipboard history, benefit cards and extensions
Next, "Take shortcuts, not detours." introduces a macOS window of Clipboard History with a filter field, an "All Types" menu and a colour swatch among the copied items. Beneath it, "It's not about saving time." sits over three cards reading "Fast." "Native." and "Reliable." Further down, "There's an extension for that." has tabs for "Productivity", "Engineering", "Design" and "Writing", above three cards: "Linear", "Google Translate" and "Spotify".
AI section, testimonials and snippets
Below "Your Mac just got smarter." a chat field types "How do I" over a red-streaked panel, followed by three columns headed "Ask Anything, Anytime, Anywhere.", "Always On ChatGPT." and "Your Automation Assistant." Further down, "Built for professionals like you." sits above three profile cards, including "Guillermo Rauch". "Don't repeat yourself." introduces cards for "Snippets", "Quicklinks" and "Hotkeys and Aliases".
Closing section and footer
Further on, "What else can Raycast do?" sits beside a red-edged "Meeting notes" mock-up tagged "Raycast Notes". "Stay in the loop." offers two cards: "Slack" with "37k members" and "X/Twitter" with "90k followers". A row of video thumbnails leads to a YouTube link, and "Build the perfect tools." opens a numbered grid of isometric figures ending in "Publish to the Store". The page closes with "Take the short way." above Mac and Windows buttons, then a six-column footer.
On mobile
At 390px the hero keeps the headline and subhead, with the "Meet Glaze | Learn more →" pill beneath them, and omits the download buttons. The clipboard window and feature cards stack into single columns, and the extension tabs become a swipe row. The three AI columns stack vertically, and the testimonials turn into a horizontal carousel. Footer link groups form a two-column grid, with the newsletter form at the foot.
Worth borrowing
- A single red accent over a near-black ground gives the hero one strong focal point.
- Extension cards that each carry a live preview show what a tool does before a visitor clicks.
- Numbered figures pair an isometric drawing with a short heading for each developer feature.
