Runway

runway.team/

This Runway is a mobile release management platform that centralizes an app's shipping pipeline — from code commit through app store submission and rollout monitoring — by integrating with version control, CI/CD, and monitoring tools already in use. Its hero copy, "They build it. We ship it," separates development from release as two distinct jobs, and a notification banner above it promotes a specific new feature, "Triage," a unified issue inbox. Rather than round marketing numbers, it cites precise adoption stats: teams on Runway "release 29% more often," are "14% quicker to deliver changes," and are "32% quicker to recover from bad releases." The closing CTA reads "Ship fast. Break things."

Runway design review: how the homepage is built

The Runway homepage is about 13,205 pixels tall at 1440px and runs in a long single column of alternating light and dark bands. Order is an announcement bar, a split hero with a dashboard crop, a statistics bar, a blueprint diagram, logo walls, four dark feature cards, an integration grid, four numbered feature rows with pull quotes, a Gusto case study and a dark closing band with a full footer. Colour is mostly grey and white, with periwinkle "#6a7fdb" highlights and a "#465596" top bar. Manrope in a light weight sets all type.

Above the fold

A periwinkle bar announces "New — The EM's guide to modern mobile releases". The nav has five links, "LOG IN", an outlined "EXPLORE SANDBOX" and a black "CONTACT SALES" button. The hero headline "Mobile release management at AI scale" is set in thin type at left, with a paragraph, a button and twelve logos under "TRUSTED BY". At right, a cropped release dashboard bleeds off the page edge.

Statistics, diagram and proof

A black four-cell bar states "release 29% more often than top apps" and three similar figures. A grid diagram labelled "CLOSE", "TEST", "DEBUG", "APPROVALS" and "MONITOR" surrounds "01: KICKOFF", beside "The only mobile release management platform." "They build it. We ship it." introduces fifteen logos, and four dark cards under "Runway is built by mobile engineers for mobile engineers" use periwinkle on key words.

Integrations and numbered features

"First-class integrations." sits on a charcoal band above a bordered grid of about forty colour app icons, three rows deep. Four numbered rows follow, each alternating illustration and text: "01." automations with a calendar mock, "02." visibility with a team checklist, "03." build distribution with avatar diagram, and "04." release health with eight metric tiles. Each lists a "CONNECTS WITH" icon row, and pull quotes from three engineers separate them.

Case study, closing band and footer

"Mobile releases, solved." pairs a tilted phone mock with a quote from Gusto. A dark band headed "Ship fast. Break things.", with the second phrase struck through, offers "CONTACT SALES" and "EXPLORE SANDBOX". Below, a newsletter field reads "SIGN UP FOR THE FLIGHT DECK, OUR MONTHLY NEWSLETTER" beside four logos. The footer has five link groups, from Product to Company. Two social icons end it.

On mobile

At 390px the hero dashboard is dropped, leaving the headline, paragraph and a full-width "EXPLORE SANDBOX" button. Logos become two-column grids and the four statistics stack. Numbered rows lose side-by-side layout, with text above small illustrations, and feature cards stack singly. The integration grid narrows to six columns. The blueprint diagram shrinks to a small block above its text. Footer links form one long list.

Worth borrowing

  • Reserving a thin black statistics bar for four quantified claims puts proof directly beneath the hero.
  • Numbering feature rows "01." to "04." and ending each with a "CONNECTS WITH" icon row ties every capability to named tools.
  • Colouring only key words periwinkle in light-weight headlines adds emphasis without heavier type.
