Obsidianos
obsidianos.com/
Obsidian is software for financial advisers that bundles AI-assisted practice management (meeting notes, portfolio aggregation across custodians, document digitization, suitability report generation, client email drafting) with custody and trade execution described as "coming soon" rather than live. The hero reads "The all-in-one platform for financial advisers," and the site splits its pitch between independent advisory firms and "consolidators" doing multi-firm rollups, offering data segregation and rapid onboarding for that acquisition use case specifically. It states the founding team came from BlackRock, Revolut, JPMorgan Chase, Parmenion, and Wise, and notes SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certification while FCA authorization is still described as in progress.

Obsidianos design review: how the homepage is built
The page runs top to bottom as a centred hero with a product screenshot, a row of five logos, a pair of product cards, two tabbed segment blocks, a three-column compliance strip, a legal disclaimer and a footer with an oversized wordmark. At 5,396 pixels on desktop, the length is moderate. Colour is near-monochrome: a charcoal base close to the detected "#181816", with greys such as "#585756" and "#979795" for secondary text, while orange and green appear only as small accents. Headlines use the light serif IvoryLLWeb-Light against Inter Variable body text. Dark rock photography behind floating interface cards is the distinctive move for a financial-services page.
Above the fold
A centred two-line serif headline reads "The all-in-one platform for financial advisers", followed by a two-line subline and one white pill, "Get Started For Free". Navigation has six centred links and a dark "Get started" pill. A dashboard mock reading "Welcome to your day, Sophie", with Meetings and Tasks columns, sits between two rock sculptures and fades to black.
Logo row and product pair
A caption, "Made by the people behind", introduces five white wordmarks: BlackRock, Revolut, JPMorganChase, Parmenion and Wise. The heading "Save Time & Grow AUM" then leads into two equal cards, each with a large image, status tag, serif title and "Learn more" pill. The left is tagged "Free" in green, "AI Practice Management", over an orange sphere with a recording bar. The right is tagged "Coming Soon", "Execution & Custody", over a green line chart.
Segment tabs for firm types
Under "The platform that scales your firm", "Independent firms" places a heading above six feature rows, starting with "Day plan", with a thin progress line over the active row, beside a rock photo carrying floating meeting and task cards. "Unlock rapid growth" mirrors it: image at left, "Consolidators" at right, with six rows from "Multi-firm oversight" to "Everything for Independent Firms and more".
Closing section and footer
Under "Built for regulated environments", three columns carry orange glyphs and the headings "Built to industry standards", "Security by default" and "Zero data leakage". The footer holds an address, five circular certification badges and three link columns headed Product, Obsidian and Others, above a huge dark-grey lowercase "obsidian" wordmark spanning the full width.
On mobile
At 390px the page becomes one column of 7,467 pixels. The headline wraps to four lines, the dashboard shrinks to a thumbnail between the rocks, and the logos wrap into rows of two, two and one. Product cards stack with images above text, the feature lists drop their side images into plain text rows, and compliance items and footer links stack vertically.
Worth borrowing
- Pairing a "Free" tag with a "Coming Soon" tag on twin cards communicates product status at a glance without extra copy.
- A single row of five financial-brand wordmarks under the hero, introduced by "Made by the people behind", puts credibility before any feature claim.
- Mirrored image-and-list layouts with a thin progress line over the active item let two audiences share one pattern with six short labels each.
